Worst Dressed #1: The Deschanel Sisters
Poor Emily. I was searching online for a picture of Zooey because I saw her dress during the show and new immediately that it was the most hideous thing I have ever seen in my entire life. While searching I came across a thumbnail of the Deschanel sisters posing together. I figured Emily could help change my mind of her sister; perhaps having that hideous dress next to lovely Emily Deschanel would make it seem less like a highlighter. I was wrong, so very wrong. After seeing two ugly dresses next to each other, being worn by beautiful sister, I knew the title of Worst Dressed would have to be shared.
Let’s start with Emily because her dress is the less hideous of the two. As I’ve stated with nearly every gal I’ve commented on tonight, Emily Deschanel’s make up and hair are lovely. The color of her dress is also beautiful. From the bust up, I thought the dress might have some promise. Unfortunately, my eyes kept going lower and lower and so my hopes did too. The dress looks like a baggy mess. It’s both too big and too small. How is that possible? She looks like a little girl playing dress up with her mother’s outdated dress from the 80s. The dress should definitely be longer, if only to hide the black shoe that sticks out almost as much as her sister’s neon mess.
And about that neon mess…Zooey Deschanel has prided herself on being a cute hipster. I’m not always a fan of the look but I definitely missed it tonight when I was presented with so much green. Even now, as I’m writing, I’m distracted because the green of her dress matches the highlighted tag words on the right of my tumblr screen. The hair is wrong (sideburns? really?), the dress is wrong, the accessories are wrong. WRONG. WRONG. WRONG. New Girl needs a new stylist.
I think both dresses are beautiful, but especially Zooey’s… But that’s just me.
